Hailing from Leeds, UK, Meaka Monroe is an emerging independent artist with a unique take on life. Her sound is a seamless fusion of British Soul, Alternative R&B, Rock, and UK Reggae and
Monroe brings raw emotion and authenticity to every track she writes.
Her love for music has been apparent since childhood yet she didn’t find her voice and start recording until she began intensive music psychotherapy sessions to address the impact of the devastating developmental childhood trauma she endured.
She always knew music was a powerful tool for healing but through these sessions, she discovered the transformative power of musical expression—an experience that laid the foundation debut album, “Algorhythm & Blues.”
Performing as 5 piece band Meaka will play songs from her album thrown in with a few upbeat covers.
